quickity quick quick sketch of 'the mare' who's name has not yet been revealed If you can recall, she was part of the 'driving team' with Petri. Petri has entered his first show, but due to busyness i'm not sure i'll have time for hers!

Andrew had been so occupied in healing Petri, readying him for his first show, that he had completely forgotten about preparing his mare! This mare was the reason he had even bought Petri, but due to his nasty condition he became the top priority. Finally, it was time to start her. As he had done for the past few weeks, Andrew returned to the pasture to visit his little stallion, now moved to a new pasture next to the mare's to ensure no babies were on the way! Instead of opening the gate, he simply fed Petri an apple, gave him a pat and headed on his way. He stopped at the gate of the mare, who by now had become very used to daily visits at the gate, being brought in and out of new pastures and the barn. Today was different, though. Andrew slipped through the gate and waited as the mare happily trotted over. Immediately, she checked his pockets for treats until he revealed another apple. Gently taking it from him, the mare now stood curiously watching Andrew untangle a long rope. Finally, he slipped a halter onto his mare and clipped on the rope. He led her to the centre of the field, shoeing a curious Rio away. At last, the mare had her first training session, in preparation for an upcoming halter class.
